Low water flow and pressure

Customer contacted us after just having had a new plumbing system put in to replace their old, outdated gravity feed set up. The customer had a new unvented cylinder installed and since had found out that their incoming water supply from the road wasn’t large enough to cope meaning they had low flow, and when someone used a toilet the shower would reduce to a trickle. Our engineers attended site and replaced the underground incoming water supply using our moling technology, meaning they replaced a run of 20 meters from the external stop valve to the internal stop valve in under four hours and with minimal mess and disruption. Once the new water supply was up and running the team completed a flow test and the customer now had a flow rate of 24Lpm up 14Ltrs from before. Meaning no more cold showers while someone else used the kitchen tap!

Lead water pipe replacement in London

Customer contacted us with a report of a leaking lead water supply pipe into there property, the customer had no evidence of the leak other than a high water bill. They also reported to our team that they lived in a terraced house in London and had a tiled walkway which the lead pipe run under and didn’t want to disturb this. Our helpful team discussed the options and explained that using our moling technology our engineers shouldn’t need to touch the tiled pathway but would instead dig a small hole at the boundary in line with the stop valve and would mole from within the house to this small hole. The job was booked for a day convenient with the homeowner and our engineers completed the work within a few hours and never disturbed the tiled pathway. No more leaking lead supply pipe, another happy customer.

Burst water supply pipe.

Customer called reporting a loss of water pressure, a hissing noise from their water pipes and a rising damp stain in their kitchen. They informed our team that the water company had investigated and confirmed that the incoming water main had a large leak, but as it was within the property boundary it was the homeowner’s responsibility. After speaking to our helpful team and discussing the options, they opted for a full replacement of the incoming water supply pipe rather than a repair to the leaking water main. Our moling team arrived on site and after a little digging replaced the burst steel water main for a new plastic supply pipe using our moling technology, meaning minimal disruption and a far cheaper option than traditional trenching methods.

Replacing underground water pipe

Our customer contacted us to replace their old underground lead water supply pipe, the customer had been having a problem with low water flow and low water pressure that had progressively got worse over the years. Our team arrived on site bright and early and after assessing the lay of the land discussed the proposed route with the homeowner and then got to work. The total run for the job was 15mtrs so 3 pits were dug, the new water pipe was then moled in and connected, the pipework was then tested, holes backfilled, and the slabs re-laid. All this work was completed in under four hours and our customer now has much better flow! The team then signed off the work via WIAPS and all relevant information was sent to the water company.
Another happy customer!

Burst water pipe!

A customer called our team with a report of a high-water bill from the water company, our engineers attended site and after discussing the best course of action with the customer, the customer decided on a repair to the pipe rather than a replacement. Our team of engineers then proceeded to locate the source of the leak and excavated to expose a leaking section of lead incoming water supply pipe.
The team then cut out the leaking section of lead pipe and replaced with a new piece of MDPE plastic, once the water supply pipe was tested the hole was backfilled and reinstated back to new.
The guys got all this done in just 2 hours! Keeping the cost low for our customer.

Lead pipe replacement

Our team received a call from a customer wanting to upgrade their incoming water supply pipe. The customer had just moved into the property, and it was identified on the surveyor’s report that the incoming water supply was lead. The customer informed our team there were looking to upgrade the supply because after looking into it and reading of the dangers of lead and how small particles can break down and enter the drinking water and having young children, they thought it best to replace the pipe.
Our team arrived on site and after conducting a full survey of the grounds to assess where the other utilities and drainage were located. Following this, the engineers discussed with the homeowner as to the best route for the new incoming water supply. The team then proceeded to dig three pits to allow access to the external stop valve for connection one adjacent outside the property to bring the new pipe up into the house and a third for the mole to enter and exit the ground. Once the moling was completed our team connected internally and externally, tested, backfilled all pits and reinstated to look as good as new.
Job completed, another happy customer!
